Yet it was our infirmities that he bore,
our sufferings that he endured,
while we thought of him as stricken,
as one smitten by God and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our offenses,
crushed for our sins;
upon him was the chastisement that makes us whole,
by his stripes we were healed.
We had all gone astray like sheep,
each following his own way;
but the LORD laid upon him
the guilt of us all.

12.P.M. – 3P.M. – DARKNESS SURROUNDS IN JERUSALEM AND JESUS THIRSTS , MOTHER MARY STANDING AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS WITH JOHN THE DISCIPLE.

3P.M. – JESUS DIES ON THE CROSS- THE TEMPLE CURTAIN TEARS IN TO TWO AND WAS AN EARTHQUAKE

3P.M. -4P.M. – JESUS DEAD BODY HANGS ON THE CROSS

4.P.M. – THE CENTURION PIERCES THE SIDE OF JESUS WITH A LANCE AND BLOOD AND WATER COMES OUT FROM HIS SIDE.

5.P.M.- JOSEPH OF AREMATHEA AND  NICODEMUS CLAIM THE BODY OF JESUS FROM PILATE.

6.PM. – JESUS IS BURIED AT THE TOMB IN A HURRY BEFORE THE PASSOVER TIME.

The Jews conspired Jesus in such a evil way , so that there was room for his followers to defend him. Jesus was arrested in the night when everyone was sleeping and sentenced  him the very next day early in the morning  and crucified him by 9.A.M. in the morning hours and Jesus died at 3 P.M. Passover in those days was like a long Weekend and nothing works from 6.pm. onward , many of Jesus followers must have shocked with all things happened with no time.

The tearing of the temple Curtain , darkness covered from 12P.M. to 3P.M. and Violent earthquake at 3.PM. were the  nature signs at Jesus death. The acknowledgment of the Pagan Roman  Centurion Jesus as Son of  Man , prayer of the good Robber , Mary and John at the foot of the Cross, Joseph of Aremathea and Nicodemus burying  Jesus at their tomb, Mary Madeline and other Women following Jesus at the Cross were the signs of Faith.

As we walk our way of the Cross with Jesus , Jesus is asking us to offer all things of our life in to  his Cross , as he is going to begin his way of the Cross .Let us reflect upon the first reading :” Yet it was our infirmities that he bore our sufferings that he endured,
while we thought of him as stricken,as one smitten by God and afflicted.But he was pierced for our offenses,crushed for our sins;upon him was the chastisement that makes us whole,by his stripes we were healed.We had all gone astray like sheep,each following his own way;but the LORD laid upon him the guilt of us “

Jesus accomplished our complete Salvation on the Cross by taking upon all our Sins, Sickness, poverty, accusations, humiliation, oppression, depression,bondage, addiction on the Cross and destroyed Sin , Satan and death  by death on the Cross. This was a Spiritual Warfare which Jesus fought through his Passion and death on the Cross. There is great power of Salvation working on good Friday.  Let us surrender ourselves to him and not weep for him but ourselves and for our Children. The more we empty ourselves, the more we will rise in that area of our life. Specially let us offer those repeated Sins of our life and those people whom whom we are not able to forgive in to that Cross , Jesus is calling us the final time for repentance of our Sins , he is going to take everything upon him and make us clean like snow through his resurrection.
