The Real Truth is Revealed only through the light of the Gospel

The Lord said to her in reply,
“Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things.
There is need of only one thing.
Mary has chosen the better part
and it will not be taken from her.”

Sunday Readings tell us the Story of Mary and Martha. Both the sisters followed Christ in their own understanding but one of the sisters could find the treasure hidden in the Word of God. Many people run the Race but only one person wins the race. Many ways of life or Religions run the Race of life in this World but there is only one person called Jesus has the full truth or real way to lead our life. Jesus visited Abraham in the old testament and because of Abraham’s Hospitality and waiting upon the Lord the Salvation to the Whole World was granted by a blessing through Isaac and his descendants Jesus born to Mary and Joseph.

The hidden mysteries of the Word of God are revealed to the people who wait upon the Lord. These mysteries are the ways of real happiness and joy on this World. We do many things in this world but there is no real peace and joy at the end of our achievements. If we wait upon the Lord and follow Christ in our life, we may or may not be successful in our Worldly structures or Towers but definitely receive the satisfaction of Love , joy and peace in our heart. I have seen people seeking better life of Peace and migrating to Prosperous Countries or pursuing a difficult task or successful in this World but at the bargain lost the complete Love .Joy and Peace in their life. Some people realize halfway but some people it is too late in their life.

Prosperity and Poverty have been redefined in the Gospel of today.Abraham had to go through many troubles in his life but God protected him and Blessed him in every situation. Mary and Martha had similar kind of experiences in their life but Jesus gave Mary the best part of his resurrection experience.

The half truth is a lie which the World and Evil present to confuse God’s People but Jesus presents Complete truth through the Gospel, this Gospel of complete truth tell us how we must go about in our life and if we sit and listen to the Gospel of the living God who is yesterday..today and forever we will receive the treasure of eternal life on this Earth itself. I can testify thousands of testimonies in my day today life .Personal Prayer or Quiet Time or Quality Time time with Our Lord on day today life is one of the best of the strategy to sit at the feet of Jesus in this busy and contemporary World but we must listen to him.Jesus speaks to each one of us in our one to one time and if we cultivate a habit to listen to him we will be blessed in our day today work with full of Love..Joy and Peace Which Jesus came in to this Earth to give us.

The teaching of love and forgiveness subjects the Pride of the World.

The seventy-two returned rejoicing, and said,
“Lord, even the demons are subject to us because of your name.”
Jesus said, “I have observed Satan fall like lightning from the sky.
Behold, I have given you the power to ‘tread upon serpents’ and  scorpions
and upon the full force of the enemy and nothing will harm you. 
Nevertheless, do not rejoice because the spirits are subject to you,
but rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

When I preached my first Retreat , on the last day of the anointing, people were filled with love,Joy, Peace and this anointing manifested by slain in the Spirit. I was on the Sky because I had never experienced these things in my previous encounters. I sent pictures to one of my Spiritual friend he returned me the message : do not rejoice because the spirits are subject to you,but rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

When we help others or help in the Church we should be happy that we got an opportunity to touch and serve Jesus himself on this Earth. Every good work we do we do it for the Lord, if we cultivate this attitude we have nothing to boast about in our life. All the Wealth , Wisdom, Education, Position comes from Lord alone. It is a misunderstanding of people to say that I did this .. attitude. God is merciful and abundant on his Creation , we only can thank him for his blessings. We are blessed so that we may share his blessings with the poor and downtrodden. Every Gift given by God to use to build the Kingdom of God on this Earth. If we use these gifts for our selfishness and self glory , we try to become our own God.

When the seventy Two disciples of Jesus went out to preach the good news of Jesus the Satan fell like lightening from his false attitude of Pride. When we forgive and share with the Poor we shame the greedy and wealthy,because the Pride of the Wealthy falls down like lightening looking at the marvelous works of God. The Spirit of Pride is our time Satan which dwells in each one of us one way or the other. People are proud because they are wealthy, beautiful, disciplined, Educated , Talented , Famous , Successful so on. There is only one thing in this World to be boasted about that is to know and possess Jesus in our life like St.Paul says: From now on, let no one make troubles for me;for I bear the marks of Jesus on my body. There was nothing to lose for St.Paul because he had lost everything of this World for the love of Christ.

Every Christian must lose everything for the love of Christ and many people do that one way or the other. Mother lose their lives for their Children, Wives lose their lives for their Husbands and Vice versa, teachers for Children, Doctors and Nurses for Patients and so on. These are the real celebrities of the Kingdom of God. Let us strive to become a friend of Jesus than the Friend of this World. World makes us famous in this World and one day dumps our body in the rubbish but Jesus raises us up to heaven to receive our gift of eternal life.

Prayer : Lord I want to be with you in this World and ever after…Amen.

To Do Today: Reflect our life where do we stand in our life , on the side of love , sharing, forgiveness of Christ Jesus or the wealth and position the Pride of the World the Satan.

Mercy and love lead us to Jesus.

. One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God

If we see the personality of Jesus , He was there for everyone good and the bad. Jesus loved the Samaritans, Canaanites, Prostitutes, Corrupt people, Women , beggars, Lepers , Pharisees, Scribes, poor and rough Country Men . This Gospel of truth the Good news of the life of Jesus shines brightly like a Sun to the Whole World but people prefer to live in their old ways of life. The way of Jesus is eternal and permanent which gives real peace and joy to the life of people. Though people have experienced the Charity and forgiveness in the form of teaching and testimony still they prefer to live in their old ideologies, Sin, Worldly selfish motives and in duplicate life. Most of the people know Jesus ways are good and eternal but they either shy away from the truth of life or live in their old rut of life.

Prophet Amos is Prophesying in today’s Gospel to all these kind of people that the day will come these people will look for truth but there will be no truth in this World. The Word of God says : if you listen to to Gods word today harden not your hearts because tomorrow we may not get the same opportunity. Jesus in the Gospel confirms the Prophesy of Amos , the tax collectors who are the sinners of Jesus time , gather around Jesus with Mathew to hear the Word of God and change their life. The Pharisees are jealous looking at the good work of Jesus but Jesus tells them he needs needs mercy and not Sacrifice.

In today’s World the Pharisee kind of attitude prevails among the so called self declared Holy-men of our time. God can pick any sinful men and make them Holy like Mathew and his friends. The discipline and sacrifice must followup with transformation like Mathew. If we sacrifice our entire life without mercy and love the essence of Christianity the mercy and love is either missed or misinterpreted just like the Pharisees of Jesus time. The way to the Kingdom of God is mercy and love and definitely not Sacrifice and discipline of life. The sacrificial and self discipline life make us self righteous.

Prayer : Lord enlighten us the way of truth and love the Gospel Amen.
