No disciple is superior to the teacher;
but when fully trained,
every disciple will be like his teacher.

If we extract the message of the Word of God in today’s readings it talks about material and spiritual matters. The whole World is in the rat race of chasing the material Prosperity and success and no one knows why he or she was born in this World and what is the Vision or goal of their life and what is the truth of life or what is life all about. The flesh leads us to Material World and the Spirit leads us to love , joy and peace. If we follow the Law or the map to reach a particular destination without knowing our destination it is foolishness and stupidity. I remember a story : a dog runs after a rabbit to catch him but the rabbit escapes and hides in the thorny bush . The Dog starts barking at the Rabbit to scare him so that the Rabbit may come out of the Bush . When this dog start barking , there were a group of other dogs join him in barking and the whole village dogs start barking but all the other dogs do not have any idea of why they are barking for except the dog who first saw the Rabbit. At the end all the other dogs tired of barking and leave the place except one Dog who never stops barking and the Rabbit comes our of the Bush and the Dog who was waiting to catch him enjoys its delicious meal. Don’t we act like those other dogs who do not have any idea why we work so hard and do all sort of heroic adventures to store the riches and be successful in name and fame in this World which do not help us to reach the destination of love,joy and peace.

The real goal or Vision comes from the person who knows the destination or who has reached the destination. We see many Worldly Management Gurus giving Worldly strategies to become successful in this World without knowing why they want to become great or successful. The real truth comes from the Man who who knows the real truth or the person who is truth himself or the destination himself or goal or vision himself. Jesus Christ is the real truth which the World must wear on their blind eyes. The Word of God becomes the true light to walk our life to reach the real truth of life. When we walk with the person called Jesus Christ who said : no one knows the Father or the real truth except by me because I have come down from Heavenly truth. If we know the truth we become the truth and a guide to others who do not know the real truth of life.

We see War like situation around us, people countries who are suppose to walk or support the truth are in fear of the powerful countries of the World. There is no truth but hatred , violence, threat and finally a great disaster , no one knows what they are doing or how much harm they are creating to the beautiful humanity which was created good and to be good to others. Jesus Christ has shown us the way of love and forgiveness . If Christian inspired Countries who are suppose to be an example to the rest of the World, act in fear and hatred with each other then how we are called followers of Christ who has taught us to love and forgive. In today’s World the Evil Work of dirty Politics and false ideologies are fighting against the real truth of Christ . Let us pray for Peace , Love, joy in our World so that the leaders may know the real truth and truth may set them free from all differences and bring them in to the Knowledge of Christ Jesus. Please pray for World peace , I have preached in Baltic Countries and many Christians from this belt are going through great persecution for Centuries. The Black Ice may melt in the power of salvation of Christ Jesus and bring the warmth of life.

Prayer : Lord , let your truth shine high on earth and people may be enlightened and transformed with your truth and bring love, joy ,peace in this World.

Love is the offensive weapon to destroy the power of Evil in this World.

Love and forgiveness are the offensive weapons to destroy the power of the Evil in this World. Our Lord Jesus Christ taught this commandment in words and action. Our life on this Earth is a spiritual Warfare , a fight between good and Evil. All ways of life or Religions teach the same thing but how to fight this War is the point of reflection on today’s readings of the Gospel. All the religions of the World teach us to fight back against the Evil people and defeat them through the Worldly power like mercenaries and spiritual super power like rituals and sacrifices. Lord Jesus Christ gave a new Commandment or strategy to fight back the Evil not to counter attack through Worldly power or spiritual rituals but to make peace ,love and forgive the deadly Evil People who are possessed by the Evil Spirits and do all draconian and demonic works by bringing hatred, war , division, death in the society and nations.

To destroy Evil, love is the only way on this Earth. Jesus used this Weapon of love to destroy the power of Sin in this World by dying on the Cross. Jesus has given us this commandment : love one another as I have loved you. Prayer , Word of God , Sacraments strengthens and directs our Will to form a good Conscience so that our mind and body may express the act of love. This is the reason Jesus Christ witnessed to the Whole World and became a model of love and forgiveness and brought the Messianic age in to this World. The Evil World can tolerate any power of this World but not love and forgiveness, it leaves immediately and can not stand before him because love is God himself. Christianity was accepted by the Nations for only one reason to live in love and forgiveness. Kings and Queens laid their Royal Pride and accepted the position of servant hood for the sake of the Gospel.

We must not be ashamed of love because by belittling our self in front of our enemies brings Victory in the battle against the Evil. The Evil one knows that human beings can not humble down and forgive the enemies but Jesus Christ taught us to forgive unconditionally without expecting anything in return. Jesus tells us in the Gospel if God himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. If Christians are not people of love then they are not Christians at all, the sacrament of Baptism does not make a person the followers of Christ but it is only a mark of external sign which provides grace to save oneself from the grip of Sin. If we do not cooperate this grace ,this mark remains completely external or carnal and it is like a dead faith or a dead seed without any actions or fruits or growth. Our Churches have become these kind of dead Churches where our faith has become a dead faith. Love is the need of the hour where we can nurture our Baptismal faith with love and forgiveness.

Many preachers preach a power Gospel like countering the Evil World by the power of the Word of God and Prayer, the Word of God and Prayer enlighten our mind to love and forgive. All the promises, claims, pledges made on the Word of God or prayer without the commandment of love and forgiveness are one side of faith or a false faith without actions of love. This kind of faith is not from God,the Evil acts like God and makes miracles to attract people to become more powerful in their Worldly life. The end of this kind of faith is Worldly Prosperity and power but there is no perfect love of God.

The people who live in love and forgiveness must go through the life of Beatitudes of Jesus the sermon on the mount. These Be attitudes resemble the Kingdom of God on this Earth. You name the saint, everyone have gone through the life of Be attitudes. Look at the life of Fr.Stan Swamy a living example of our time. If we live a life of truth and witness in love , we will also be persecuted , imprisoned or even killed in our own time. There is no alternative to this my friend , this has happened with our Master, happened with all the people of God.

Christianity is not in ascending order of the Worldly life but in descending order , Today’s Gospel say :Give, and gifts will be given to you;a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing,will be poured into your lap.For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you. Please do not misunderstand these gifts in to Worldly Prosperity as many Preachers preach but these are the gifts and fruits of the Holy spirit the love of God poured out in to our heart. This is the Victory which we can attain by renouncing the World of Power and living in the power of God the love and forgiveness.

Prayer: Lord enlighten our mind to the true Gospel of love and forgiveness.Amen

True Christians and False Christians of our time.

If for this life only we have hoped in Christ,
we are the most pitiable people of all.

Christianity has been misunderstood by many Believers, Religious, Clergy, Faithful and other Religions of the World. The goal of following Christ is not to reach the Horizon but to see the things beyond the Horizon. These are mysteries of the Kingdom of God which Jesus tried to portray while he was on this Earth. It was very difficult to make understand the World the things of Heaven in Human way of life because World and the Kingdom of God are opposite to each other. For example the Kingdom of God is not visible to our eyes but can be experienced in faith. In the Kingdom of God the suffering, gain,loss,success,ugliness,beauty, wealth, poverty, persecution, justice, injustice, gifts are all part of the process where the end product is the Kingdom of God. What is important in our Christian life is how do we live our life, whether we trust in our own self ability or on the ability of our maker. This approach to our life is very important to live a Christ Centered life.

Jesus Christ did not come in to this World to enlighten our ways to earn Worldly Wealth or Worldly Prosperity or better life or better life style, these things were already existed from the time of the Creation but Jesus Christ came in to this Earth to enlighten the Kingdom of God which was buried under the selfish Evil Worldly wealth and Prosperity. If we follow Christ to gain the Worldly Prosperity it is a terrible mistake from our side. There are many people live a life of recognition and false doctrines. False Prophets manipulate the Commandments and the Gospel and lead many poor people to selfishness and Worldly life. Jesus calls these People in the Gospel ” Woe to you when all speak well of you,for their ancestors treated the false prophets in this way.”

I have traveled around the World and encountered and worked with many Christian Ministries, Parishes, Priests, Preachers but have seen only couple of people have understood the real Kingdom of Christ or the Gospel of Christ and preach the same to others ,rest of the people are tuned to the title of Worldly Christians or ministries just like any other Worldly commercial organisation with the brand of a Christian Institution. If there is persecution or poverty or challenges of death , these Christian organisations are first ones to stay away from them. If Jesus Christ was condemned and crucified in the modern World the Christians will be the first institutions to stay away from man with the Bruised, rugged, wounded, falsely condemned, criminalized and killed by the Authorities of our time. Our life has become like I scratch your back , you scratch my back and real truth of Christ is totally missing in our time.

The real Christians of our time are not listed Christians but who fight for truth and justices and killed for their cause , they may not be Christians at all or they must not have heard about Jesus Christ but still they follow the values of Christ and do not give up or compromise with the World or Evil and die for the cause of justice and truth. These people Jesus calls Blessed, and people who are poor in Spirit and theirs is the Kingdom of God. The mysteries of the Kingdom of God are not revealed to the learned but simple people who acknowledge themselves as sinners and not worthy to enter the Kingdom of God. Early Christians were of this Kind, Jesus Christ was of this kind, Saints were of this Kind, Martyrs were of this Kind, there is no mediocre Christian , either we support the truth or oppose the truth, we can not be neutral. Every neutral person or the Church who does not support the truth is Evil or Worldly.

Today’s Readings tell us do not trust Jesus for Worldly Prosperity and Wealth but trust in the Lord for a life of truth and justice.In the second Reading St.Paul says : If for this life only we have hoped in Christ,we are the most pitiable people of all. We have misunderstood Christ’s Salvation which leads us to eternal life which is beyond the Horizon of our Worldly life. The early Christians and Prophets who proclaimed the truth of the Gospel were persecuted and killed and if we stand in their feet we will also be persecuted and even killed in our own time where justice and truth has been placed in the hands of the Evil Authorities.
