The Epiphany of the Lord

And behold, the star that they had seen at its rising preceded them,
until it came and stopped over the place where the child was.
They were overjoyed at seeing the star,
and on entering the house
they saw the child with Mary his mother.
The Three Wise men Magi studied the Scriptures and followed the Sign of the Star which appeared to them in their own Country. These Wise men were not the chosen generation but God gave them a sign of the Messiah’s arrival. Revelation of God does not limit to one particular Community or set of People but available to each and every soul of this Earth. If a person seeks God through his Wisdom , God reveals him in person despite of his status of life. Epiphany is the real birth of Jesus to the Whole World because this Feast invites people of every Religion, Caste, Creed, Colour and nation because God does not have any Religion, Caste or Creed and belongs to everyone. Man has divided himself as Believer and Non Believer but God looks at People equally and reveals everyone who seeks him.
Wisdom of God is the key given to every human to choose what is right and wrong , Knowledge and foolishness, investment and idleness, study or illiterate, civilize or uncultured , loving or violent . When we use our Wisdom in a constructive way a sign or a sense or a goal or a dream or a aim or a destiny which reveals our Savior in their own way of life. This is a mystery which will be unveiled on the Judgement day. Many will come saying Lord..Lord but all will not enter the kingdom of God but only those who do the Will of the Father. The Will of the Father is to believe in the Gospel message of Jesus Christ which is love and service. The three wise men not only sought Savior but accepted him as the Lord of their life and Worshiped him and spread his Gospel in their own Countries. The traditions say they were all martyred due to the Gospel of love.
We must see the signs in our life which lead us to the Savior , signs are always visible and bright like a star which motivate us, direct us , guide us and lead us to the destiny. These signs can be our own Spouses, Parents,Children, Communities, Friends , teachers, Preachers, Prophets , Priests so on . The signs may come in opportunities and circumstances in our life , if we follow them and take them positively and faithfully we reach the goal of our life, if we neglect we will loose our Savior. Herod could not see the savior who was born in his own Kingdom due to selfishness and greed to power but Magi came from distant land to see the Savior and experience the Salvation. If we pursue wisdom and love we meet the Savior of our life but if we pursue the Worldly Pride and materialism then we loose our Salvation. The Scriptures and Traditions reveal us the purpose of life. Magi studied it and followed in its directions but Herod tried to misuse it for his own interest. We must ask our self to whom do we imitate Herod or magi in our life.
Prayer : Lord I may seek wisdom in our life and experience the salvation.. Amen.
