Wisdom of Solomon and Wisdom of Jesus – Old and New

Today’s readings give us broader picture of Kingdom of God. People have many imaginations or ideas or explanation of the Kingdom of God. Many religions and ways of life understand this fact in their own understanding or passed on teaching from their institution or families. In the first reading Solomon asks for an understanding heart. What is this understanding Heart? The understanding heart is a heart of obedience to God. God has put a manual of what is right and wrong in our Conscience but due to Week nature of Flesh, the human heart is not able to access God’s Manual the words of God or Commandments or Natural Law and understand them and apply in life. This is the reason Solomon did not ask for Wisdom but for an understanding or obedient heart. The Wisdom of God the Holy Spirit is an inbuilt part of every human being but human is not able to relate with the Spirit of God because of his sinful nature. The treasure in a dark room cannot be seen or felt but the treasure exists in that room, in the same way the God exists in every Human but due to our evil and self-centred heart, we are not able to understand or feel his presence. This is the reason Jesus said, do not search God here or there but the Kingdom of God is with in you. If we change our actions according to God’s Ways or Manual , the light of God shines in our dark hearts and able see the treasure in our life. For Children, it  is like a puzzle of bits of pcs to join in to its proper position and reveal or make the hidden Picture of God. The Picture is there in the Puzzle but parts of that picture are not in  its proper position. If we put our life according to God’s position , God’s hidden picture in our hearts is revealed or made known.

God repeatedly brings many strategies and plan to the humans to access him in the heart. God inspires holy men and Women and speaks through them and guides through them by Commandments, Prophesies, Psalms and testimonies. All these things are inspirations or guides or signs to change the heart in to an understanding heart so that people may change their hearts and access to the Kingdom of God. These teachings were of the old testament. Humans manipulated these Commandments to seek their selfish desires and could not achieve or gain an understanding or obedient heart.

God predestined the Salvation of Man through Jesus the Saviour. All the old teachings foretold about a New teaching which will supersede or fulfil the purpose of old teaching. God put his image in the Words and Commandments in the old time but in  the new time God himself incarnates in a human form as Jesus the Messiah. In the new testament, he makes the Salvation plain and simple. Believe in Jesus and you will be saved from Sin and get access to the Holy Spirit who lives with in us from our Conception. So when we believe Jesus, we must get Holy Spirit , it is one activity. If anyone says We believe Jesus but we have not received Holy Spirit then there is more to believe in Jesus as Lord and Master of Life.

Jesus Encounter Programmes and retreats of seven steps helps people to accept Jesus as  Lord and Master of their life and experience the Holy Spirit. Every Christian must experience this Salvation Experience. If we live Christian life without proper understanding of the Heart then it will be like Solomon who did not have the understanding or full obedience to God. The Church offers a life of seven Sacraments and these very Sacraments come from the very Salvation act of Jesus Christ. Jesus becomes the first fruit or the first born and every person who believes in him by default becomes his younger brother or sister and recover the image of God and get access to God’s Family the Holy Spirit. If any Christian is not accessed to Holy Spirit then we must say that he is still to find the treasure in his or her life. The Sacraments can be lived only by the Power of the Holy Spirit. These are actions of the Holy Spirit or lived life in Christ. A complete devotion and prayer filled life makes a person to believe Jesus as Lord and Master of his life and live a life of Christ in the Seven Sacraments to be like Jesus and glorify God in Words and deeds.

We require the written words or Commandments of old to discern the Spirit of God in our life. The Evil nature of man entered in the Commandments of God through misinterpretation of the Word’s and the Values of God’s Nature were violated mingling Evil nature of Man, thus very purpose of God’s Words to transform human hearts was not achieved, instead they were filled with Hypocrisy and spiritual pride. In the same way in our time the Evil Nature of Man is in constant attack on the Spirit of God and comes in disguise as Holy Spirit. Many Christians follow this spirit but it is not from God but from Human Evil nature. How to discern these Spirit is a great difficulty in today’s Christian living because present Christians believe miracles and Prosperity comes only from God, but this is wrong most of the miracles and prosperity comes from the Evil Spirits. These miracles and prosperity brings destruction of our hearts and makes a person more vulnerable than before. Jesus gives us a solution in today’s Gospel to discern our life , when we see our actions in the mirror of Old Words of Commandments and Parables of Jesus we can understand and see the evil face with in us and other people to understand the right and wrong Spirit of God. This is a crucial stage of Christian living and we need guidance. Jesus knew the problem and left behind the Church as a Guide and deposit of Old and New treasure the Word or Spirit of God. Every Christian therefore must be a member of the Body of Christ. Christian spiritual life cannot be lived in isolation but in a Community.

The Words and the Commandments of God are the invitation & pleading of God to his Children to come back to him and live with him for ever and ever.

Lord, you have the words of everlasting life

Man was created in union of God’s love. God has implanted his nature in every human  Conscience in the form of a natural Law despite of any beliefs or human condition. This Natural Law tries to connect every person of this World to his Creator at every moment of life and this is the voice of human Conscience.  There are two voices in every human, fist is the Voice of the flesh which disconnect us from God’s Commandments and the Voice of the Spirit Connects us to God Commandments of truth and love. The Commandments of God have been implanted in our being from the time of Conception, thus every human life has the portion of God from the Conception. Thus, any force tries terminating this human life goes against Human Law and Gods Commandments. The Natural Law pulls a person naturally towards God’ Nature which is love and truth. If any human violates these laws are violating God’s Commandments. There is only one true God and cannot have many Gods.

How can we recognise the true God who implanted the Natural Law of truth and love in our hearts from our conception? God’s nature is love and he wants every human to be loving and caring in love. If any force or God contrary to the Law of Love is against God or fraud or fake God.  God’s love is not selfish but unconditional. God’s love is truth.  We may misunderstand God’s love in our own beliefs or passed on beliefs by our ancestors or parents but if we are in true love of God, God reveals himself to every individual his true image.

All Commandments of God are not new to human beings but they are born with these natures but the nature of flesh and World divert our craving for God put us in to the false God’s of Flesh, World and Evil. The World, Flesh and Evil also implanted its craving in our hearts which lead us in to evil Worldly ways. The man two choices to choose one the true and original nature of God and the second fake or duplicate nature of the evil World.

God reminds his love to humans through his love by many means of life. The Ten Commandments are one of his reminder of God’s Love. jes

Humble Hearts can hold riches of Heaven in abundance.

Humble Hearts can hold riches of Heaven in abundance.

You shall indeed hear but not understand,
you shall indeed look but never see.
Gross is the heart of this people,
they will hardly hear with their ears,
they have closed their eyes,
lest they see with their eyes
and hear with their ears
and understand with their hearts and be converted
and I heal them.

“But blessed are your eyes, because they see,
and your ears, because they hear.
Amen, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people
longed to see what you see but did not see it,
and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

God speaks to his people in the First and second reading but there was a difference among people who responded to him. Moses responded with reverence and honour and  other people with fear and death. The Israelites had a wrong image of God that the God is a punishing God. This image of God was created by our first Parents when they disobeyed God. God called them to repent and come back to the Holiness to see him as he is but mankind started running away from him. Our God is not a punishing God but a loving God and the nature of our  God is Holy. Those who want to see God need to be Holy. How do we become Holy? Holiness is a stage of our Heart. This stage comes by remaining in the presence of God all the time. To remain in the presence of God, we need to be in tuned to the Spirit of God and in tuned to the Spirit of God, we need to be obedient to his Words and inspirations. To be obedient to the Word of God and his inspirations we need to have an obedient and humble heart. To have a Humble and contrite heart we need to repent or change or turn back from disobedience and come back in to the Presence of God at every moment of our life. God wants these kinds of People who live in the presence of God all the time. Man was created to remain in obedience or in the presence of God all the time. This life is bit delegate in Earthly point of view but real life in the Spirit.

When we reach this stage of Humble or Holy Hearts we can hold or store the riches of Heaven in abundance. In this stage God becomes our provider, healer, deliverer, protector, Saviour and only purpose of life. We need to reach this stage in Christian life and live it constantly. It is a Wonderful experience to live in the Garden of Eden, God walking with us face to face and talking to us ear to ear and loving us like small children by heart to heart. All Prophets, Apostles and disciples of Jesus experienced this privilege to live in the presence of Jesus. The disobedient people who are not in the presence of God are the People who hear God but do not understand and look but cannot see because their hearts are disobedient and unholy with fear of punishment and not in love.

God speaks to us different ways

  1. Through our Family & Friends
  2. Through the Church
  3. In the Work Place
  4. Through the Civil Authorities
  5. Through the Education
  6. Through the Word of God
  7. Through Prayer and inspirations.

God speaks only one message through all these different Ways is  to Come Back(repent) to him and live with him in obedience and Holiness. If we listen to him in all these areas , we make him the Lord and Master of these areas and God starts transforming these areas through us to create better People or Better World or in Short Heaven on this Earth. We need to live this kind of Christian living in our own places by taking a Vow of stability and humility to carry on God’s Business upon this Earth. All these people can hold riches of God and pass on this richness of God to the Coming generation.

The seed is the word of God, Christ is the sower;
All who come to him will live for ever.

Today’s seed of God is the seed of life Jesus Christ.  Jesus Christ is the Word and was even before the creation of the earth. Through Jesus, Heaven and Earth came into existence. Through Jesus, Adam & Eve the first parents came into existence. Through Jesus, Prophets and Kings anointed and the plan for salvation was foretold. Through Jesus’s death on the cross the plan for salvation was accomplished. Through Jesus, another amazing creation came into existence Ressurecton and a new Heaven on Earth was created The Church and we are the church.

We receive many gifts, talents, opportunities from the hands of God. We think they are just another part of our lives. The learned consider them as part of evolution or human efforts. In the first reading People grumble in the desert for food. Grumbling is opposite to appreciation or gratitude. Grumbling is cursing or tempting or putting someone to the test through our hearts. This state comes in every one’s life, educated or worldly, Spiritual or loving.  rich or poor especially in the time of difficulties. Faith plays a very important role here, if we believe that good comes from all things even in the most difficult times of our life, then we can reap 100-folds of harvest. This is not a miracle but a reaction to the action of Faith. This is natural because if we believe that the Whole creation was made from the Word of God, the same Word of God recreates our life through our Faith. Moses had this Faith and intercedes to God and God through Nature provided them Manna and Quails in the Earth. He transforms the scale of Leaves in to Sales of Milk and Honey and Diverts the flock of Quails through the desert due to an East Wind.

Like the parable of Sower, God sowes an equal number of seeds to every person but each person who received the Word of God did believe wholeheartedly. Only the person who believed the message of Christ yielded 100-fold but everyone who did not believe dried in the scorching heat of the Evil World. The Holy Spirit gives water to our faith and makes it grow and bear the fruits of Love, Joy and Peace in our lives. Today let us embrace the Words of Life and follow them through the path which leads us to the Bread of life, Jesus Christ.

Losing is Gaining in the Kingdom of God

Losing is Gaining in the Kingdom of God

“You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them,
and the great ones make their authority over them felt.
But it shall not be so among you.
Rather, whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant;
whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave.

Today’s Readings differentiates the two kingdoms, the Kingdom of Man and the Kingdom of Heaven. Many of Jesus’s Disciples were freedom fighters, they joined Jesus in order to fight against the Roman Authority and so to be freed from the Slavery. Jews believed that Salvation is only for them and everyone else was destined to hell. The two Sons of Salome and Zebedee, James & John had a great zeal to serve God in their time. They thought fighting against the heathen is the way to serve the Lord. In this situation Salome, the mother of John and James comes to Jesus with a request, to make her Sons, second in command in the kingdom of Man.  Jesus gives the message of Salvation to this ignorant mother and sons who had wrong idea about the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus gives following message of salvation

  1. Jesus is not an Earthly King but a Prince of Peace.
  2. The Kingdom of Heaven is not Earthly Kingdom but is Love, joy & Peace
  3. To serve Jesus, one must lose himself and be the servant of all.
  4. God has chosen his servants before the Creation of the World.
  5. People who love & serve others are people of Heaven, no matter their faith, beliefs, caste, language, nationality or any conditions of life.

If we Compare modern parents to the parents of James and John, we don’t see much difference. Today the parents want their children to be wealthy, full of worldly knowledge, The parents of James and John requested Jesus for these same things. James and John became powerful disciples of Jesus so they could spread the message of servanthood. In the end James was put to the death and John was exiled and imprisoned for life. Salome the mother of James and John was at the foot of Cross weeping at the death of Jesus. They all believed in Jesus and changed their life according to message of servanthood and became the servants of Peace and love. Friends there is no other World than the Kingdom of forgiveness, love, giving, courage, losing, defending the truth. All those people who accepted and live this message are in the Kingdom of Jesus.

We all sin so much despite knowing the consequences but we still call ourselves Christians because we still do not understand the Kingdom of God in our lives and remain as people of this world despite of our Baptism and Sacraments we receive as a reminder of our Christion duties. All the Sacraments represent the servanthood of Jesus which are to be shown through the way we live but if we think we are born Christians and received Baptism  and fulfil our Sunday obligations and can live a Worldly life, we are hypocrites like those Jews at the time of Jesus who used to think they were the chosen race of God and all other people are Evil.  Jesus gives a message of Losing is gaining in the Kingdom of Jesus and every person in this World follow and live this message is a real follower of Jesus who will bear fruit that will last for ever. The judgement of God is beyond our imagination and as Jesus said the first in this World today will be last and the last in this World will be first. Let us give our Children the education of serving and caring and teach them to lose for others to gain in the Kingdom of Jesus. The rat race of success and Winning attitude is not Christianity but to be a servant of others and losing for the love of others is Christianity. The entire World is going the opposite direction which leads to hell but the direction of love and care leads to Jesus.

God is a reality, Not an illusion

“Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.”
He said to them in reply,
“An evil and unfaithful generation seeks a sign.

Today’s Readings talk about obedience to God’s Words. Faith is the Helmet of Salvation and protects us from all hammers of evil people. Faithful and humble people hope in God’s mercy and power in all situations. The unfaithful or proud people who do not believe in God’s mercy and power seek for miracles and wonders in their life. God is not a magician who turns all our desires into reality but God is love and turns all our desires into what is good for us.

In the first reading, we see the Israelites are in panic due to the Egyptians but the Lord tells them not to fear and be still and see the glory of God. Being still and trying not to panic in awkward situations is real faith.  In the Gospel, the scribes and Pharisees do not believe Jesus’s message but look for signs and Wonders instead. Their intention was to trick Jesus and declare him a false teacher, but Jesus understood their evil hearts and said they were evilest than the people of Nineveh who were the worst people on earth.

What about today’s generation? Are we better than the generation of Nineveh or Sheba? What is Jesus to us? Is Jesus being the Master who understands us and turns our lives into what is good for our Salvation or is he a genie who turn our wishes into reality no matter how much it affects our health or our salvation.  Our God has the power to make miracles but he will do it to glorify his name and power so that people may believe in him and be saved from this evil world. Miracles are an invitation to the Kingdom of God and a sample of the Kingdom of God however the samples are just a tiny portion of what Heaven really is. The miracles are soon forgotten and again we are in the same old reality and if we expect the miracles to happen again and again, then there is something wrong with us. We need to go beyond these miracles and believe in Jesus. Every miracle glorifies God and invites others to the Kingdom of God. Once we are with Jesus, we do not need any miracles because we have Jesus in us and the power is given to us to make the same miracles as Jesus for the glory of God.

The unfaithful or Proud people who do not believe in God’s mercy and power seek for miracles and wonders in their life. Salvation is not one time experience but a process of Spiritual Warfare throughout our life.

Salvation is not one time experience but a process of Spiritual Warfare throughout our life.

I will open my mouth in parables,
I will announce what has laid hidden from the foundation
of the world.

In today’s readings , Jesus want to give us the message  that, Salvation of our souls cannot be achieved in own determination and self-efforts but we require extra help of power from above. The mankind is in misery and pain of labour, crying out for freedom from Sin but do not know how to come out of this dungeon of Sin.

Jesus gives us the solution for our misery. Jesus shows us a way of love to turn back from our sinful life and promises us the Holy spirit of God. Who will help us to lead our life to the Salvation. The Holy Spirit shows us the ways of Jesus in action. If I compare Jesus as the Map and Holy Spirit as the navigator, the navigator activates the Maps to show us the way. The navigator tells us where to turn or stop or any speed limit and the danger of accidents. We can carry the maps by ourselves and find the way but the time we fail in our direction, the map will not talk to us or give us any signs of danger or tell us to turn back or find an alternative route to our destination. At this point we require the Holy Spirit or the Community who will help us to mould our life according to God’s Will.  The Church is the Complete Navigator with the Maps which direct our life to the right directions and prays on our behalf. The Church is the People of God who possess the Spirit of God. Holy Spirit is not a power in the Air but lives in the heart of the Faithful. When we possess the Spirit of God in our hearts through Baptism or transformation experience in Jesus, the God’s love pours out in to our heart in the form of the Holy Spirit. This love of God drives us more and more closer to Jesus and Abba Father the trinity. When we experience the trinitarian unity in our life, we experience Heaven in our heart.

We may explain these things easily but how we can reach this stage in our life. We can put this in following stages

  1. Transformation or Baptism
  2. Prayer & Faith
  3. Love & Charity

  1. Transformation Experience or Baptism:

Jesus gives this gift to every person freely, he takes the first step of Salvation by extending his hand and pulling us out of the Sinful life and giving us the fore taste of God’s Love the Holy Spirit. All Christians by Birth get this gift through the passing on  the Faith by their Parents and family and others through a miraculous encounter of Jesus in their life. This experience of Salvation is the beginning of our spiritual journey in life. Some people think the time they receive the Holy spirit they have become saints. Holy Spirit comes with many gifts and all the gifts are freely given despite of our ignorance. These gifts are given to us to build our life in Jesus Words and bring other people who have not experienced Jesus in their life or to help people who are struggling to live a life on Christian values. We see many people living in the first stage of transformation and running from one place to the other to have this same experience again and never reach the second stage of Prayer & Faith. These kinds of people always ask others to pray over them or pray for them. They also possess the same spirit of God but they do not exercise their faith in God and thus remain like Christian sucking Babies throughout their life. This stage is very dangerous because these people cannot resist the temptations of Evil due to their Weak faith in Jesus.

  1. Prayer & Faith:

Once we encounter Jesus in our life, the first thing comes out of our mouth is prayer. Prayer is nothing but humbling ourselves before God and acknowledging ourselves as Weak and miserable Children of God who need desperate help to love him. Human nature is sinful and cannot be erased in a transformed experience due to the Sinful Ocean we are Swimming in and we do not have any other option rather than to live in this sinful World. Here we require the help of the Holy spirit and we need to be guided by the Word of God to live a life in Faith. The Holy spirit helps us through the Community and in an inner conviction and pleads to God through us in a very unique gift through prayer and Holy ness. Again, this is a free gift of Faith and Prayer. At this stage people get power from above to make miracles and all Jesus Words come true with Prayer and Faith. This is an adolescent Christian stage and need lots of support from the the Grown Community and leaders, otherwise spiritual pride of Evil may attack these people and we see many people leaving the Church or ministry due to lack of Knowledge of the Christian journey. They think that they have already achieved Salvation. All matured Christians must pray and support these gifted and talented Christians who do not have enough experience in their life.

  1. Love & Charity:

Love and Charity is the final stage of Christian journey. This stage is the destiny of our Salvation. Once we experience Jesus in our life and trust in his mercy and love, we must pass on this love to our brothers and sisters who live in darkness. This is the P.h.d or Doctorate of Salvation in Christian life. When we humble down in prayer and renew our minds in god’s Spirit and his Words, we automatically love our brothers and Sisters in Jesus love. This stage is the life of Calvary in Jesus’s stage of Salvation. Humility and Sacrificial love and all fruits of the Holy Spirit will challenge us to pass this stage. At this stage, a Christian becomes zero in Worldly life or cravings but looks at the Heavenly Glory and fulfils the mission of Christ. At this stage, the Christians see hundreds of thousands walking in the Broad Road of hell and do their level best to bring them back to Jesus. These people leave behind a ministry of People to the next generation by passing on their Faith as a testimony of God’s Love. These people do not fear of the Human death or sickness, poverty or persecutions but there is only one aim in life to experience Jesus in fullness of their life and meet him face to face after their human death.

These are the mysteries of Gospel Jesus came to announce on this Earth which were hidden from before the formation of the Creation.

These were revealed to simple and humble people like disciples of Jesus. For rest of the people Jesus reveals them in parables because these people are the very people who were in first and second stages of their Christian life. Let us analyse our stage in the Christian journey of our life and repent and renew our mind in the words and in the Spirit of God and love God and our Neighbour in Jesus love. There is no other Short Cuts to receive the Salvation in this Earth.

Encounter of Jesus makes us his brother and sister in Christ.

Jesus said to her, “Mary!”
She turned and said to him in Hebrew,
“Rabbouni,” which means Teacher.
Jesus said to her,
“Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father.
But go to my brothers and tell them,
‘I am going to my Father and your Father,
to my God and your God.'”
Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples,
“I have seen the Lord,”
and then reported what he told her.

All the people of this World who have encountered the love of Christ is a new creation in Christ. In the beginning of Creation, it was one family of God.God was the Father and all were brothers and Sisters living in God’s grace.  Sin entered the family of God and exiled or took the family of God in captivity and made them slaves of Sin. Jesus the Eldest Brother in the God’s Family came to the exiled land the World to release or save his own brothers and sisters from the Captivity and slavery. He had to pay a price of his own flesh and Blood the very life on the Cross and bought us in exchange to his life. All those agree or believe in him to go back from the Captivity to our original house of our Father  will receive back the grace and live in the grace with the Father. It is very important to believe in Jesus and get transformed from our present life to Jesus life, because he reconciled us to the Father. All those who live in the grace of Christ or God are brothers and Sisters in Christ and God is our Father. This is called one Christian united Family the Church on this Earth.

Today’s readings we see Mary Magdalene the first person who believed  in Jesus , became his first Sister in God’s Family. Mary Magdalene had Jesus experience in her life. She was a sinful Women seeking for the Worldly love. When she encountered Jesus in her life, she encountered the real God’s love in Jesus. This God’s love drew her to follow Jesus wherever he went and said and finally to anoint his dead body risking her own life. At this stage Resurrected Jesus appears to her and gives the first invitation to the Mankind to renter the family of God through a Woman. The invitation is “ I am going to my Father and your Father. To my God and your God.”

This invitation makes every person who agrees to go back with Jesus to the Family of God, a brother and Sister of Christ. He gives us equal right of a brother or Sister and Son or daughter of God.

Many a times we come across Women complaining of not receiving the love from their husbands and Children. Also, we come across many people expecting the love in return with a thank you or an appreciation. If we do not receive the love in return we are disappointed and sometime stop the relationship. These are the real examples of Worldly love. The Worldly love is selfish and expects in return and in reality, this is not love at all.  We come across today 90% of the World is under the spell of this disguised form of love. God’s love is different from the Worldly form of love, this love does not expect in return and unconditional. We can receive this love only through Jesus because he brought this love from above from the Father’s Family the original love and displayed here on earth by his living and as a testimony of his death on the Cross. God’s love is manifested in Words and in action in our life. The Words of God direct us to the activity of love. The love of God is always an activity or a charity and cannot be experienced only in the Knowledge of God or his Words. If we love our spouses, family, friends in Jesus love then we can call ourselves as real brothers and sisters of Jesus and accept the invitation to become the Sons and daughters of our real Father in Heaven.  All Married Couple’s first Vocation is a Brother and Sister in Christ and through this vocation we can love each other in union with Christ to form a Divine family of God on this Earth with procreation and nurturing of our Children in God’s Love. This is a true form of a Christian life and family on this Earth.

Today let us analyse our life and understand the state of our life. Can we call ourselves Christians? Have we encountered Jesus personally and experienced his love and transformed our life in to his ways? Do we love our Spouses, Children and friends in the love of Jesus? If not , today  let us call on the Name of Jesus like Mary Magdalene who was searching Jesus in the tomb and he will come to you and call your Name_______  , like he called  the name of Mary. Jesus may not appear us directly but he will reach us through People, Scriptures, Activities, Prayer and who knows he may appear to us personally. Mary could not recognise him and thought as a Gardener but recognised him when he called her name. Jesus will call our names in the situations of our life though people, institutions, family, spouses, children and friends. Let us recognise him in those situations and cling to our elder brother who is the only hope to save us from the exiled World  and slavery of Sin the lost Cast Away Experience to our Original Home of life in grace of God the Father.
